We are often asked “Who is Prothesia? Pronounced like “amnesia”, Prothesia Palmer Smith was our grandmother.  She left England for the United States to avoid the attentions of a shipbuilding suitor (Ernest Smith helped build the Titanic). He followed her to America, and won her heart.  

Isabella is a very sweet and pretty longhaired Dachshund who  works at Prothesia’s.  Her duties include searching customers’ bags and pockets for treats, excessive tail wagging, and patient acceptance of pets and admiration..
